My experience tells me that women who choose to have abortions at any point in a pregnancy "for medical reasons" are usually copping out on the responsibilities of parenthood. Except on extremely rare occasions where a newly conceived human results in a haploid or triploid pregnancy, a one-celled zygote is a human organism with a full complement of DNA as nature intends to go forth with life.

I am reminded of the SLED test for the primary reasons for a mother to obtain an elective termination of the pregnancy (read Abortion). SLED is an acronym for Size of the baby, Level of development of the baby, Environmental requirement of the baby, and Degree of dependency of the baby (SLED).

Mom is always bigger than the human baby (zygote, embryo, or fetus). Therefore, by virtue of her enormous physical advantages of size, strength, selfishness, animosity, fear, inconvenience, etc. over the tiny human being that is growing inside her, she can force the unwanted person out of her body to a most certain death. But the death of the small human being is not quick and painless. The baby is almost always killed by what are frequently one of the most barbaric, cruel, unusual, and painful sentences of capital punishment--dismemberment by a larger person (bully) who can exert power over another with no regard for the humanity or civil rights of the smaller, more vulnerable human person.

While there may actually be an extremely rare case where elective abortion might be indicated, the excuse to abort a child, whether perfectly formed or with abnormality, is a complete lack of faith in faith and moral reasoning. The inversion of many ancient laws by a “progressive” movement that has a large following today has led to a throwback to mores we supposedly left behind centuries ago. These include but are not limited to:
(1) punishment of a child for a crime committed by the father e.g., rape or incest;
(2) denial of scientific knowledge that, from the moment of conception, a baby is worthy of “personhood” by modern legal and social constructs, i.e., equal protection under law as ensured by the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States; and
(3) perversion of “The Golden Rule” and willingness to shed the blood of an innocent person instead of doing to others what one would have done to self, imposition of maxims such as “whoever wants gold more than the life of another person has a ‘self-proclaimed right’ to kill other humans to obtain that gold” and “whoever has enough gold can order a brutal execution of another human because the other is embarrassing, expensive, unwanted, unplanned, inconvenient, or just too much effort for comfort” (read sins of lust, pride, greed, gluttony, sloth, envy, and wrath).

Selfishness and a self-centered mindset are at the core of abortion. Whether one believes in God or any other “higher power,” denies the lot in life that we are destined to live (binary sexuality or station in life), is deluded by the advances of technology and medical knowledge (employment of an outlook that allows anything without consequences), or overcome by some fear (e.g., abuse, poverty, postponement of personal plans, stretch marks, hang nails, gray hair, dishwater hands, or any other imposition), does not matter. Abortion kills a living, developing, innocent human being. Abortion is immoral to a far greater degree than construction of a wall to keep out illegal immigrants.
Tom Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04429876847736188672noreply@blogger.com
