What's happened to our churches?Lydia McGrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00423567323116960820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1442827238174603755.post-71669352272902871542007-06-14T09:58:00.000-07:002007-06-14T09:58:00.000-07:00Yeah I bet LeBron James' mom is heartbroken that s...Yeah I bet LeBron James' mom is heartbroken that she didn't abort to end her poverty.

I get so fired up about the "better off dead than poor" argument. Especially considering that the poorest person in America is still better off than like 90% of the world's inhabitants. I can't even believe that pastors would think that was a solution! Those children are an opportunity for the church to buck up and put her money where her mouth is and start reaching out to these families.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1442827238174603755.post-41263136737120835852007-06-13T09:46:00.000-07:002007-06-13T09:46:00.000-07:00I apologize if I was a little worked up on this on...I apologize if I was a little worked up on this one, but I have had several conversations with pastors, church members, and people of the commmunity that seriously believe that abortion is regrettably the only way to deal with "all of these children" that would otherwise be draining our economy and ruining the lives of their mothers. I am very tired of the sincere, "it is a tough call." No it is not. It is terminating the life of an innocent human being for elective reasons. It is killing our children as a solution to some possible future problem. Several other people in history have decided that killing the group that they do not like off was their solution and they are not the good guys. We are better than this solution to our problems.

JayJay Wattshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11298001988620531769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1442827238174603755.post-89783183774714810102007-06-12T16:01:00.000-07:002007-06-12T16:01:00.000-07:00Geez Jay,if I found out one of our girls was taken...Geez Jay,
if I found out one of our girls was taken to a thing like that, you'd see a fit like the world has never known! Our local Boys and Girls club has started a class for the summer about choices and consequences. Making sound moral decisions based on one's good character. Maybe the kids in the article should have been told that thier choice does not begin at the local PP office, it begins with themselves. BTW, my husband and I dated for 2 years in high school, we did not have sex. Why? Well, he knew better than to even go there, also, NEWSFLASH......you do have to breathe, you DO NOT have to have sex! This trash talk about how kids will do it any way is just a lie to suck these kids into the clinic. Kids need to hear from good positive role models that not only is it OK to be a virgin until marriage, it's the best thing you can do for yourself and your future spouse, so that very special relationship designed for your good by God, is not undermined.
