I certainly do not want to take food from anyone's table.

God bless,
JayJay Wattshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11298001988620531769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1442827238174603755.post-76689593598060183232007-12-04T05:04:00.000-08:002007-12-04T05:04:00.000-08:00Jay - I agree with you re: Rick Warren. The Body of Christ has solutions and efforts that have been ignored by the afflicted and the culture at large, and true, we should send no mixed messages.

However, in counterpointing, we need to insure we're not guilty of mixed messages ourselves.

Technically, the photo you're using of Rick Warren is copyrighted material from Time Magazine. If your particular blog comment was directly written as commentary on that article, or Time's publication of that article, then that would fall somewhat under fair use. And while fair use is a very subjective area of copyright law, the perception of illegal use may be undermining your message.

A reference to that Time article, along with brief & pertinent commentary would secure loose perceptions.

(As a photographer, I'm both informed and rather sensitive to copyright use issues.)Chris Arsenaulthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10773858656968422745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1442827238174603755.post-26692597388956822982007-12-03T14:54:00.000-08:002007-12-03T14:54:00.000-08:00Thanks for your comments on this. Because they are popular people are swayed by what they say. In reality, they may have little real experience with what they are talking about.

PhilipPFaustinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00698502596745792175noreply@blogger.com
