Dan Phillips at Team Pyro has posted a very good question for discussion regarding whether Christians should agree to give the prayer at the Obama swearing-in ceremony. John Frame, among others, weighs in.
My feeling is this: President Obama is now the leader of our country, whether we like it or not. I think *all* Christians need to be praying for him, his leadership and decisions, and for our country. Whether he is a godly man or not, he still needs our prayers (and maybe even more so if he is not).
Big difference between praying for him in general and praying _at a ceremony_. Ceremonial prayers and giving your countenance to a ceremony has a whole extra set of significances. Warren should not have done it, in other words.
